I am currently a PhD candidate in the Department of Computer Science at University of Wisconsin (UW)-Milwaukee. I am also a member of the Biomedical Modeling and Visualization Lab at UW-Milwaukee.

Dr. Xiaojun Chen is an associate professor at School of Mechanical Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), China. He received his Ph.D degree from SJTU in 2006. As a visiting scholar, he worked at the Surgical Planning Laboratory, Harvard Medical School during Oct. 2011~ Oct. 2012, the TIMC-IMAG lab (CNRS, France) during Sep~Dec 2013, and the OMFS-IMPATH lab(KU Leuven, Belgium) during Jun~Aug 2015. His research focuses on computer-aided surgery, including medical image analysis, surgical navigation, surgery simulation, surgical robots, biomedical manufacturing, etc.
He is the author and co-author of more than 100 peer-reviewed articles published in the prestigious journals such as CIDRR, IJOMI, IJMRCAS, CMPB, Medical Physics, etc. He also delivered more than 10 lectures (3 invited plenary speeches) in the prestigious international conferences including CARS, CAI, IEEE-ITAB, etc. He is the PI of more than 10 research projects, including three funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China.
